REW ISTANBUL 2009 had it all!

REW Istanbul 2009

Again, REW Istanbul 2009 has been one great event with 8376 visitors for 207 participating companies from 21 countries! Organized and coordinated by IFO Istanbul Exhibition Services on 18-21 June 2009, 5th International Recycling, Environmental Technologies and Waste Management Exhibition REW Istanbul attracted 207 companies from 21 countries all over the world. Like last year, the exhibition again saw a record in its visitor number and hosted 8376 visitors.

Last year REW Istanbul was a big success and this year’s event has been no exception: REW Istanbul 5th International Recycling, Environmental Technologies and Waste Management Exhibition 2009 hosted 207 companies from 21 countries; resulting in 8376 visitors in total; a pleasing success for all of the participants. Organized and coordinated by IFO Istanbul Exhibition Services on 18-21 June 2009, the exhibition was the scene for high-level international participation, including Bavaria and Netherlands pavilions, last year’s REW Istanbul exhibition participants.

Turkey’s biggest environmental technology exhibition, REW ISTANBUL 2009 was the venue where the most recent updates and technological innovations were presented to public and private sector representatives. REW ISTANBUL 2009 which featured all innovations in environmental Technologies, recycling facilities, recycling machinery and equipment, waste storage and logistics, handling and stowage, waste elimination systems and equipment, waste water treatment facilities, purification sludge, urban cleaning equipment, measurement, analysis devices and laboratories being in the first place gathered many important national and international companies operating in handling and stowage, waste elimination systems and equipment, waste water treatment facilities, purification sludge, urban cleaning equipment, measurement, analysis devices and laboratories, treatment environmental Technologies, recycling and waste management business branches to promote their pollution treatment and prevention Technologies for sustainable development and high-quality life standards.

The Schedule programme with its focus on environmental problems of OIZs and the possible recommended solutions was organized in cooperation with the Higher Institution of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBUK). The Conference sessions simultaneously took place all throughout the exhibition, with the participation of Turkish Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

In the programme jointly organized with Recyclable Packing Material Collectors and Separators Association (TUDAM), the current situation for Packing Waste was discussed and clarified. This programme, which has significantly drawn Turkish industrialists was also keenly followed by local administrative boards.

There was a high-level interest in Gebze Institute of Technology session in which their practices regarding the use of membrane system in waste water treatment and energy generation out of biological waste were shared with the participants.

A partner of Cities for Climate Protection Campaign which was introduced in our country by REC, Turkey’s 13 leading municipality officials had the chance to share their decisiveness regarding climate change with the public through the signature ceremony for the document of intention on Sunday. the participants were given their plates at the end of REW Istanbul 2009, the single address where waste-to-product and half-product manufacturers, local administrations, all public institutions, organized industry zones, academia and academicians meet under the same umbrella; promising to meet again next year in REW Istanbul 2010.
